During the winter term of 2020/2021, the Institute of Theoretical Computer Science offers a seminar on Theoretical Computer Science, headed by Prof. Dr. Roland Meyer.
If you are interested in participating (and have not yet registered via StudIP), please contact Thomas.
The kickoff meeting will take place on Tuesday, October 20, at 10:00 online at Big Blue Button.
Attending the kickoff meeting is not binding. Within 2 weeks after the kickoff meeting, you have to make an
appointment with our secretary Andrea Soleinsky (email@example.com) and physically sign a document to completely
register for the seminar.
We give topics to at most 12 students.
This is a joint seminar for Bachelor's and Master's students of computer science.
We offer several topics based on recent research in the area of Theoretical Computer Science.
The details will be discussed during the kickoff meeting.
You will have to
- prepare and give a talk of 30 minutes (including questions) during the lecture period, and
- write a seminar paper in English or German, 10 pages using the LIPIcs LaTeX style until the end of the term.
Each seminar topic is assigned a member of the Institute for Theoretical Computer Science as advisor.
In case you have questions, you can contact them.
There will be regular meetings with your advisor, in particular before you hand in the paper and before you give the presentation.
